Scm si15wf
I have had this old dear for just over a year now.
It is a 1983 Model and has seen some service during that time. I think I could be owner 3 or 4. It worked well enough as soon as I got power to it. With every use I noticed that the main bearings on the shaft were getting noisier. Turning up the radio didn't work so surgery had to be performed. For less than $100 and a mornings work it runs as sweet as a nut. The bearings in the scriber motor will be the next set to have surgery
These saws seemed to popular in their day and its not hard to find one still in heavy service.
I was wondering if there is any body who may have the protractor fence that attaches to the sliding table to cut any angle you need. It has a central "bolt" that serves as the pivot, so to use it you just loosen it and push the fence to the required angle and lock down the "bolt". On my saw it is l-o-n-g gone. So if somebody has one "lying around" I would like to rescue it and give it a nice life of retirement only calling on it now and again to do some dutyJust do it!
Kind regards Rod
