    Default Spoke shave adjusting nut?

Does anyone have a spare Blade adjuster knob thingy for a Stanley spoke shave, for some reason beyond my intellect I only have one when I should have two.
I understand I may be clutching at straws, but you never know.
Happy to pay for it of course.
Or swap part of my Soul [emoji849].
    It’s a Stanley 151

    Cheers Matt.

have you thought about trying Carbatech for spares they might carry for their line of spokeshaves?

It's possible that one spare knurled knob is much less expensive than the pair you are looking at

How about one of these? For less than $13 you get not one but two adjuster nuts, plus a bonus fishing weight.

I have three spares in the stash.
One new nut wot is the same thread but bigger diameter where it engages the blade.
The other two are oldies on the studs, one has a fine knurl the other course.
Will take a photo tomorrow if your interested.

Just had a brain wave followed by a brain fart,
I was going too say,I just check the thread with my thread gauge’s, then realised I’m in Melbourne working the gauges are 3 1/2 hours away, in a box an I don’t know which box.

Anyone know what size the tread is ??

    Cheers Matt.

Assuming it’s an English Stanley made in the last 40-45 years it’ll be M6. I must admit I haven’t come across any shaves with Imperial threads but that’ll be due to not really looking very hard; I have Stanleys and Records of various vintages and all are M6.

If they're M6, or any of the other taps I have, I'll make you a pair when I get home in two weeks. That way the knurl will match.

    Picko,

That is a fantastic Ofer, thank you very much [emoji120],but just at present hold of on hitting the lathe,
I also have a metal lathe, but am time poor.
But being an M6 which I’m sure I have a tap for makes it easier.

    Cheers Matt.
