Spokeshave Identification
Hi all,
I have come across an old spokeshave which I can't identify. Can anyone help. Pics attached. There are no casting numbers in the body. There is however a logo stamped on the blade. It appears to be a crown and anchor with the letter 'E' overlaid. Thanks in anticipation. Geoff.

I think I have one exactly the same but where I put it I don't know. I have an impression it comes from around Scandinavia, probably Sweden.
Cheers,
Jim

Thanks
Hi Issa' and Jim,
very close to the Stanley Issa' but put side by side there are some small differences.
Jim, i recon you have put me on the right track. A quick search on 'Jernbolaget spokeshave' found for me a pic on this very site, of the same spokeshave, with the same 'Crown/Anchor E' logo in a thread here:

Not forensic thorough, but enough evidence for me to call it a Jernbolaget spokeshave.
A pretty old one at that I think. Be interesting to know how many of them made their way to Australia.
Thanks for your help guys. Cheers Geoff

I suppose the E stands for Eskilstuna and that they are pre-Berg. The iron seems thicker than usual and it was the open front that caught my eye. I think I paid $3 at a Melbourne tool sale.
Cheers,
Jim
