Thread: stanley N0.66 hand beader

hi all....an appeal to the collective intelligence on my newly aquired no.66.
I've been looking around the net for more info on these and I'm trying to find out how old this thing is... I recently got a shock when I stumbled on some info when trying to tune my 4 1/2 ( no frog adjuster) and found out that it was probably made about 1899!!! I'm being a little more careful with it now....

Anyway I've noticed that some of the 66's have a patent date cast into it however mine only has stanley no.66 and a B over in the inside corner? its nickel plated and has two original cutters and the straight fence. I got some good info from the guys in the hand tools forum on getting it set up for work...now I'm just after it approximate age and if I need to be careful with the thing because its some kind of collectable...
any info would be great
