Rob I did see that too and could not believe my eyes, poor fellow that is such a shame. I am admiring his honesty though, it could of easily been dodged up and sent to the first seller, let alone put back on Ebay and nothing said.
Honesty is such a good quality in a person.
I hope many people see a bargain and his price for it goes up and he at least gets something for his trouble.

Yeah , I felt sorry for him too, I think he may have been selling off machinery that was not his, possibly a father or in law had left it there?

Do you know the difference in construction in those later Barkers ? It does not look like it has the big cast iron C frame like the early ones.
Looks like more of a boxed type construction, but cast iron ? or a type of white metal ?

Rob I was thinking the same thing, it is a 1960's L.S.Barker machine and I was always under the impression that they were fabricated and boxed Welded, I have seen many late Wolfenden bandsaws that were made in steel fabrication in the same way and still utilizing just cast iron wheels.
Looking at the pic's I would say your right Rob, the the whole back post is cast iron and every thing else bolted to it.
