Thomas Firth and Sons Sheffield spirit level
I've just fixed a 10" spirit level I've had for ages. The spirit had leaked from the vial so I removed the putty at each end to find the leak, then filled it with a syringe. It's now sealed with a little silicone.
Anyway, my question. I cannot find another spirit level by Thomas Firth and Sons, or even much about their tool making, on the web. This site Firth Brown Tools - Graces Guide says the tools division was formed c.1900
I'd be grateful for any advice or to be pointed in the right direction for any more info.
Regards and thanks,
Tim
