Thomas Robinson & Son Rochdale England - Rip Saw
I know there has been an older thread or two on Thomas Robinson & Son of Rochdale England. But my interest has been tweaked lately by one of my co-workers. I have had kicking around in the shed for some time an old Robsinson table saw that appears to be a 24" rip saw. We salvaged from under a lean-to at the rear of a dairy shed. My colleague took a real interest as he is an expat Pom (politically incorrect) who grew up about 20kms from Rochdale, so for him to find a piece of "home" out in the middle of NSW (he calls it the middle of Australia) caused a tremor of excitement for him. We have done a search of all the Robinson catalogues that we can find through the web, but are unable to identify the year of manufacture or model etc. I have attached a couple of pictures and it carries the designation & patent nos as shown. If anyone can shed some light on it it would be much appreciated.

Update 1
I chased up Patent No today on the overhead saw blade guard which was applied for in 1931 by Charles John Robinson with worldwide patent granted in Great Britain on 30-6-1932 which I believe is the first patent on an overhead saw blade guard as can now be seen on almost every table saw produced since.
