    Default Another tool I.D please

G'day to the forum brains trust,
I have this Wolf power hammer in my possession, I was wondering whether anyone can positively identify its use. The second photo shows some of the types of bits it comes with, My best guess is something a stonemason may use.
    Any help greatly appreciated

    Hi.
It is (was) used to make holes for Rawlplugs. Much easier than the hand held tool and hammer.

Thanks Hugh, Would it still do the job without any rotation? As it only hammers, I thought it would lodge the bit into the mortar etc..
    Kind regards

it's possible that the chuck contains a mechanism that allows the chisel to rotate between blows.

when using a hammer and star drill you rotate the drill slightly on each upswing of the hammer
