Hi Camo,
I knew I saw that puller somewhere on here yes that is the one I was thinking about but looking at it again it might not be the best because of the way my pulley is with the small end to the motor I possibly wouldn't get good purchase on the small end? As you suggest a plate made to suit may be a good option.
Thank's again for the reply.
Regards Rod.

Well the last few weeks we have been flooded in on a couple of occasions,it has been very wet so trying to finish paint under the house is a waste of time and paint. In the few sunny days we have had actually 2 in the last week's since Australia day I managed to put the first coat on the angle iron base for the morticer and the cabinet's for the lathe,I chose machinery grey to go under the silver hammer tone of the lathe and morticer, after this coat I am wondering if a darker maybe charcoal hammer tone would be better the colour I used is as it sound's that mid grey colour that a lot of 70's machines are painted.

Well being flooded in again and very bored,I removed the motor mount set up so I can sand and paint the inside of the lathe cabinet's then I got on to sanding the rest and waiting for the bright times during the day to paint them with primer and top coat.
I have finished the lathe itself in silver hammer-tone and red and have been waiting for better weather to work on the cabinet's but another week on and still wet so I just got them ready and went for it in the gap's in the weather so hopefully now I can put them all back together when the paint hardens.

Most of the lathe parts are finished ready for assembly the motor was a dull blue colour and I thought I might as well paint it the same as the morticer motor even though it isn't really seen. The morticer is nearly complete I still need to sort out the motor pulley and the handle arraignment but they can be done when all together.

Thanks for the well wishes Matty I am hoping we will be able to get out today(but I have been hoping that every day for a while) it has been over a week now. Your right though it gives me plenty of time to fiddle with these two, but I need to get to town to get some rubber washers to finish the motor mount on the lathe the old ones are all perished and falling to pieces when I removed them. I tried to use O ring's but they are to thick. I spent quite a bit of time(a couple of goes) hand painting the logo on the lathe head I think it came up ok. Regards Rod.
