vintage Chisels Steel
I was hoping to track down some vintage chisels in A2. Does anybody know what makers and year of manufacture I should be looking out for ?

Hi, and welcome.
I don't think vintage chisels were ever made of A2 steel. The use of that steel is a more recent thing. Most vintage chisels were some variety of cast steel closely related to O1 steel.
The only "mainstream" maker of chisels of A2 steel, that I know of, is Lie Nielsen. Lee Valley may also sell them (edit: a quick search suggests they still make A2 mortise chisels).
Good luck with your quest.
