Hi Joel, spiral cutters are coming from the U.S. they are about 3 months away and will cost me about $1.800 all up so in total with buying the machine second hand, all transport costs involved plus fully restoring to like new the machine has cost me $4.290.00.Now in my mind that's money well spent as machines built today of this quality would cost me a lot more than that and it will pay for it's self in no time, once it is up and running I will post more information now 2 more old machines to restore here, plus a huge big old American bandsaw that has been fully restored over there for me arriving in about 2 month. Going to have to build another shed.

It will be interesting Bob to hear what you think of them when you get them . You handle a lot of figured wood and a lot of that must be Blackwood. The Blackwood I have machined with my standard cutters was a pain . Going slow with new blades helped ,I stll had some chip out. Do you get much of that with the way you have been machining up to now ?
