    Default Wooden rebate (rabbet) plane

Hi all. Just started to resurrect this plane and noticed both owners name and, more interestingly, the "makers" details stamped in one end. Can anyone help with more information about this? And why does an imperial era plane have a number 20 stamped behind the blade mortise? Thanks again for taking the time to read this.

I think Melhuish were a retailer the Bunnings of that era.... They had tools and other goods made for them by various manufacturers. I am thinking the 20 may have been a catalogue item number as it looks as though each catalogue used different numbers for the same item In the catalogue 15 (1905) below the Skewed Rebate plane is item 26 where as Catalogue 21 of 1912 the same item was listed as 76
Melhuish's No. 15 Catalogue of Woodworkers' Tools, Machines and General Contractors's Appliances, Etc. : Richard Melhuish, Ltd. : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive

Thanks Gary(?). Thanks for the link. Can't believe that I can look through it page by page. Catalogue is a goldmine, better than the Lee Valley one. I could order a replacement iron from it too (No. 358)
