Hello,

Friends of the Earth Australia requires someone who can swing a hammer at the South Melbourne Commons to undertake the remaining refurbishment works not requiring a licensed tradesperson; and to support the team in planning, supervising, and directing volunteer efforts. At times the applicant will be required to work autonomously, following a list of prioritised tasks.
The following are key selection criteria: diverse manual labour skills, including the use of power tools; ability to use lateral thought and initiative; excellent organisational skills; to work in a safe manner; and demonstrate a commitment to the environment and social justice in alignment with the organisation. The preferred candidate would represent FOE in a manner that is friendly, respectful and informative.

The South Melbourne Commons is a new community hub, an initiative of Friends of the Earth Australia and the Father Bob Maguire Foundation.

Businesses taking the job as contract work will also be considered.

We need someone who can start soon. We expect there is a couple of weeks work left in it and it can be part-time over 4 weeks.

For more information contact: [email protected] or call Paul or Megan on 0396825282.

Thanks
