Arc of pendulum swing
Is there a swing distance or arc measured in degree's, that is considered optimal for a pendulum to swing?
I am designing a wooden clock with a gravity esc. and the design is not the same as I have done in the past when using a crutch to link the pendulum to the escapment.
Thanks in advance...
cheers

Yeh...well I guess another way of asking the question could be...
Is is considered more accurate to have a small swing or a large swing?
