Art Deco
Another mini clock!
One of my relatives is going overseas and I wanted to make her something small that would remind her of home. I made this little art deco style clock using some banksia wood salvaged from a badly split piece that was collected after it was cut down by her
dad. The insert is a 36mm insert from CWS.
I have also included a photo of the art deco clock that was the inspiration of my design.
Comments welcome!
Merry Christmas,
Chipman

Nice work. You have kept the Art Deco elements but managed to simplify things nicely.
I am a fan of Art Deco. Just spent a few days in the Art Deco district of Miami. 7th heaven!!

Thanks Artme...that has always been my approach....keep it simple and let the wood do the talking! My Niece and her husband are really rapt to get it as it is small enough to take with them and it is made with wood from her parent's home (where she grew up as a kid)
Regards,
