Excellent work. They are nicely made and look good.
Did you design them?
How did you make the spiral turned gears? I would not have a clue how to turn those.
I have made quite a few mechanical clocks but never plucked up the courage to make a wooden movement.

Hi MPW and welcome aboard
I very impressed with the difference from the normal. I look at clocks with the thought of making one, one day and these designs are moving me more in that direction.
Do you have the plans for these or are they available on line or you own creation?
I guess these are electric powered from the cable I can see and the lack of weight and pendulum?
Did you make them by hand or cnc?

The clock plans are a home creation and yes they are electric powered. The gears are CNC cut. Basicly I had the idea and my husband being a mathemetician did the sums. The motor was supposed to run at 1rpm but on timing it it ran at 1.2rpm which altered the no of teeth in some gears to get the clocks running properly.

Do you have any plans or cad file you are willing to post for those who do not have a mathemetician handy.
I would love to have a go at making one of these clocks

MPW
Thank in advance for even thinking about doing this extra work for us
The one in the middle in the photo the one with the oval gears is of most interest to me. If you have the cnc file for the gears would be all I would need the rest I can work out myself.

Something about wooden things that we usually associate with metal.
