Default A couple of Bird Clocks

Here's a couple of bird clocks I made the wooden dial went as a wedding gift and the larger one went to a charity auction.

I used camphour and finished them off with Kunos livos oil.

A quick note in order to make rest flush on the wall I had to insert 2 dowels on the back of it.

    Very nice.
If I made all the clocks I fancy I would be drowning in them by now.

Very nice, lovely, clean and precise work. If I could scroll as neatly as you I would save countless hours on my models.
    Cheers Frank.

Wow, what a magnificent piece of work. Lovely to hear that you used the Kunos oil.

Natural eco paints, oils & products, healthy choice to acrylic & polyurethane - Livos Australia

Have a look at this website it should give you a clear understanding of what it is, I have tried every oil there is I have even made my own and this beats them all but it aint cheap. I have tried to replicate this oil and to some success i got close but for me close is not good enough. I can say I have found a product that suits me and finally I am going to stick with one. The second best one is Watco Danish oil which is around $16 at Masters I can't say anything bad about it but I was after a particular sheen it's actually hard to explain but anyhow it works wonderfully on all types except for pine it's kind of a waste to put it on because watco will achieve the same results.

Carolls woodworking supplies sells it as well like I said it aint cheap but it's excellent.
