    Default Outdoor clock mechanism...??

Is there such a thing as a clock movement suitable for outdoor use? I'm looking to put a clock on an outside wall in our new pool/spa area and have seen clocks advertised as "outdoor clocks", but was wondering if it was the mechanism that was 'outdoor' or just the material the clock face and hands were made from.

So I get to thinking that I could make my own clock, but can I buy a mechanism suit for outdoor?
Too many projects, so little time, even less money!
