Default Simple clock in a hurry

I usually make farewell gift for colleagues when they they leave school. Just last term, a temp who had been with us for three terms this year was leaving and I realised that I had not done a gift for him yet so this is what I made him.... Started after work on Tuesday...sprayed before work Wednesday... a bit of a record for me. Interestingly, because it was late at night, I did not use the router to shape it at all....the profile was sanded with a drum in the drill press and the edges rounded over by simple old fashioned hand sanding!

It has a 45 mm insert and is made from some scrap Queensland walnut and finished with 35% gloss stylwood lacquer. (given a coat of wax just before it was presented on Friday)

    Cheers,
    Chipman

Slick idea Chipman I've had a couple of those inserts sitting in the drawer for over a year and now I have some ideas to work with.

I am suprised you need any ideas TTIT

Especially after seeing that beautiful turned clock you have just finished

mantel clocks but it is good to do something simple as you can afford to do more of them and try different designs etc.

Post some pics when you do yours as I am sure they will be really great

    Cheers
