The only trouble with tide clocks is they are correct for the time of year you set it. Then as you get 6 months along its out by quite a margin, then it gets closer again. Pops shed has them for sale. I went for a wrist watch that has the tide correct all the time and the moon phases etc. But it is only for a certain region (lat and long). I got the casio seapathfinder "spf 40". Works well, Has a compass, the temp as well. A friend got it from hong kong for me.

A tide clock which drifts out of alignment with the moon over the seasons is no different to an ordinary clock which drifts out of alignment with the sun - it's simply running either too fast or too slow.
