Default Any idea what these parts are?

I recently made 2 Grandfather clocks using Ergos movements, with no instructions. Each package included one of these things that looked like levers, but I have no idea where they might fit or what they are for. Any ideas?

I have little experience with these clocks. However, I had an aunt who had a pendulum clock that hung from the wall. If the clock wasn't oriented perfectly the time would go off or stop entirely. She'd tilt the clock a few degrees to fix it. That's not possible with a grandfather. These items might serve a similar purpose if the floor is not level. The only other thing I can think of is that they are a weight for the pendulum. They might hook on the back of the pendulum, perhaps.
