    Default wooden geared clock

Years ago, 2006 to be precise I designed and made a wooden geared clock. Some of the older members will remember it as the Naked Clock as all the works were fully exposed to anyone to see it operating. After a few years I put the works into a grand father clock, which was easier to keep the works clean. I moved into a retirement village over 2 years ago,the clock has not retired , with winding every 85 + hours time is out by a minute depending on temperature .
The gears were all machined from solid timber (satin box) all bearings and arbors were (lignum vitae) a light sanding on a couple of teeth on a couple of wheels has been the only maintenance .
All the old photos are no longer on WWF , heres a couple that I still have . NF.

A timely reminder of a great project. Thanks for reposting the photos. Good to hear it’s still giving good service.
I checked one of my old threads tonight, photos are gone on mine too.

What a great idea to put it into a grandfather clock. The mechanical movements for a grandfather clock is way out of my price especially that my crappy old van needs replacing.
I've been wanting to make one for years but just couldn't afford the movement. Making the gears will be perfect.
