    Default Wrist clock?

A while back I saw a pikky of a lovely clock/wrist watch?? I liked it so much that I decided I'd have a crack at it. The photo was enough to give me the idea as to how it should be made. So I ordered 4 clock mechanisms from good old Axminster Power Tools in the U.K. and had a look in my log pile to see what I had to strat with. I have found it incredibly difficult to buy good wood for turning here in Fance, so he fire wood pile is a good strating place.

Any, this is what I finished up with

The clock insert is a 4" quartz jobbie and it can either be hung on the wall or sat on a sideboard.. It almost fits my wrist

Beech clock block, cherry strap, mahogany buckle and box pins. The hole for the clock insert was turned as were the pins and the rest was cut on my bandsaw.

It has just dawned on me that I haven't replied to this??? Senior moment

If you haven't already then of course it's OK for you to make one or as many as you like. After all, I did mine from a photo I saw on line

I still have 3 clock movements and when I get the chance there will be 3 more, or similar anyway.. Getting them so that they stand as well as this one may be a different matter though
My ambition is to grow old disgracefully. So far my ywife recons that I'm doing quite well! John.
