So here is yet another video, this time in more wind, of my canoe on the Ogeechee River, coming in downwind against an outgoing tide of 2-3 kn.

I even got to hike out (almost) a couple of times. I think I'm going to need around 10-15kn of wind to get some decent, serious, hiking out. I'm not as small as I used to be (170# is a very distant memory) so kneeling inside the cockpit with my arm on the side deck seems to provide surprising counterforce to heel.....sad but true.
Here are a couple more pics, some from the canoe and one at the dock. And, yes, in the last picture the mainsheet is wrapped around the daggerboard; I did not notice this until I put it back on a tack, then couldn't let the sheet out which gave me a bit of a moment in the gust.:B

That is a familiar part of the Ogeechee but it's been 20 or more years since I was in those waters.
