If you are going to... then... but don't.....
If you are going to....
finally get around to sweeping up all those shavings from rounding the mast, and She suggests that The Boy could do with some jobs because he's trying hard to save up some money, then by all means agree....
but don't....
then proceed with the original plan of applying epoxy to the lovely mast, while it's suspended over the shavings, and even then don't allow it to FALL INTO THE PILE OF SAID SHAVINGS!
Just don't. You can do it.Last edited by MichaelB; 5th February 2011 at 10:31 PM. Reason: injection of sense

Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything, but they
bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs .

If you are going to take your 11 yo daughter out for a paddle on the river for some quality time,
then by all means do it on a Saturday morning when the easterly is gusting close to thirty knots,
but don't expect to have no difficulty getting the canoe back up on the roof rack.
And don't get grumpy.
(Daughter now has standing orders to check with the Bureau of Meteorology's latest observations and forecasts before accepting any more invitations. )

Nay, luck's got nothing to do with it. I'm in control of my actions. Honest.
I am the master of my fate and the captain of my soul.
I turned this newly sanded mast, into a shaven gluey pole.
