Default Duck's Nuts, OZ PDR Lug rig.

    Hi everyone.

I got out today for the first time with the lug rig. Went well, Much nicer to use, don't have to duck all the time to miss the boom...

Sail was easy to setup, though I think I needed more down haul tension, and the sail needs to move rearward a bit. Ill play with that on the next outing. I had the other half with me, so the loading didnt require the dolly...

It was a great afternoon messing about on the river!

    looks great. Congratulations.

Elsewhere on the forum there are discussions of spar design and sail design, but people need to appreciate just how well designed MIK's spars, and yards are designed, and that his sail designs work great. The yard bend is well matched to the sail rounding at the head.

My Raid41 mainsail worked great and any builders should be completely confident to build the yard as designed, cut the sail as shaped and get on with sailing!

    Nick,

Did you use the 3888 mm mast and standard sail dimensions from Mik's plans?

    Thanks,
    Brad
