Funny email message
Howdy,
I get several emails a day from scammers trying to get some sort of access to my bank account.
They do a scan of my website to find phrases that are commonly used through the site.
This is from "Mr Berry"
Dear Sir/Madam
Am Mr.Berry and would like to make an Order of
Wooden-Plywood Box from your store and would like to know the types
and sizes you have in stock as well as the prices and the types of
credit cards that you accept for payment.Thank you and waiting to hear
from you as soon as possible.
Regards
Berry
We have 16ft plywood box with one or two sail and differing performance, though it appears that several have good quality performance.
Please advise how many people you want your box to hold.
Be advised that the one person box can commonly carry an additional small person.
The two person box can carry an additional two person plus a dog and/or picnic. One of our favourite customer use his two person box like this with regularity.
If fitting a motor to box a license might be necessary.
Best wishes
Michael Storer
Director - Wooden Box Co (Maritime division)
PS - the credit card size is standard size. Approximately 2.25 inches by 3 inches.

Hi Michael,
Sorry to hear you have been targeted by scammers, thanks for the warning, the safest way of dealing with this is with either a spam filter or by simply deleting them, once you are aware they are spam.
You can report all incidents to http://http://www.commerce.wa.gov.au...t/default.html, for them to investigate further, or the equivelent agency in your state,
Unfortunately this seems to be the new crime of the 21st century, loved your cheeky reply, that should get 'em thinking twice !.

Clint,
Maybe you can help ... I only design boxes, perhaps you can make them for him and we can share the profit!
Send me your credit card details ASAP.

Dammit .... I am going to send the reply back and see what happens!
My guess is that he will treat it as spam.
I will add "we have excellent credit card facilities to facilitate a smooth transaction"

Mik, you know me, I'll just go and fit my plywood boxes with a mizzen.
Ask him if he wants his credit card info in standard or metric!

just received another message from him. He actually sent the message from a gmail account for "Mark Garry" and now has realised that he had called himself "Mr Berry" in the email.
He has realised his mistake but just sent me a second identical email signed "Mark Garry".
So I have asked him who should I speak to and what are their positions with the company ... Mr Berry or Mr Mark Garry.
MIK
