Fantastic Dave, and I love the name! Can't wait for the video, but the gust sequence is pretty awesome and hints quite strongly at what happened next.

Hehe, you gotta jump onto the gunwale pretty quick Dave once that boom is in the water, but that idea would be well and truly in the memory bank by now. Good to see you sitting on the seat though, so the weight distribution fore/aft was good at least.

Beautiful! Congrats!
My Goat is still on sawhorses this year -- combo of bad weather, too much work, and the need to drive my wife everywhere while a torn ligament in her knee heals. But I am sincerely hoping to get it into the water before Mystic. If I do, how about a sail on the Mystic river some evening during the show?

Evening = boat show done.
Goat Island Skiff = light enough to hand carry
Paulie + Dave = Carry Spanish Goatee
All this adds up to:
Dave and Paulie sail their respective Goats together in the evening, after the show, and have a wonderful time.

I never was a math wiz... Now if we can solve for the unknown variable "C222"...
"If two GIS sailors approach Mystic from the west at 60-mph and a third is located 100 miles Northeast of Mystic, how many beers will it take to get Christophe to show up?" (Show your work)

It is multivariate with three variables. The best I could do was this
dB is the the Δbeer as the limit goes to zero. It looks very much like the result is independent of S - which is Christophe's displacement from home. So the distance is irrelevant once the beer delta exceeds a value of three which is confirmed by a single integration and testing the end condition of "the number of beers that Christophe would not accept if he didn't have to travel at all" which of course is any non zero quantity.
The interesting thing is the behaviour of the time variable t. It appears the faster the trip the more likely he is to enjoy the beer, which is somewhat counterintuitive.
I've taken the presence of the other two goats to be a constant as shown as the denominator of the second derivate function on right.

Now my head hurts. I'm drinking one of Christophe's beers as a remedy...
