GIS Centreboard and Rudder
I am about to embark into the mystical world of the rudder and centre board.....
Maybe I have overlooked it, but if building out of ply are both 18mm in thickness?

And both rudder and centerboard could be made of 18mm ply.
I would recommend to make the centerboard in 22mm version, since that is longer and probably has better performance close winded. I think the rudder could be made out of 18mm ply as well as 22mm wood.

Sorry, i misread your question
I first made a centreboard out of 3 layers ply but i didnt like the feeling of it. It look too weak to me and also feeling to weak.
So i decided to build both out of wood.

The solid wood option to finish 22mm thick is much better for both strength and performance.
