Default A Goat Island Skiff made in Montevideo, Uruguay

    Hi all,

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCe21UhiezM"]YouTube - ‪Goat Island Skiff - Mojiiito - All building stages‬‏[/ame]

Herewith a link to Youtube with all the images to build a GIS, a year and a half work..., in Montevideo, Uruguay.
I am waiting that the spring arrives to the South to inaugurate it on the coasts of the Uruguayan Atlantic Ocean.
It is not easy to find good materials in Uruguay. The sail was done by a secondhand jib. The only solution for a new sail in Uruguay is to buy it in Buenos Aires, North Sails.

My gratefulness to Michael Storer, and his great aptitude to share knowledge.
    Cheers,
    Daniel

Your story is one that embraces Michael Storer's intentions for his designs. That they can be built successfully to quite a high standard with locally available materials that are often sub-optimal. Because of what you have done with the materials available to you, I am in awe.

Your GIS looks fantastic and you should be very proud that you achieved such a fine result. Well done, and thanks for the great video essay. May your GIS bring you many hours of boating pleasure.

    Excelente! Una Cabra mas fina!

I'm not sure what I like better, the boat or the video! Both are great and make fine additions to the international GIS community. Please share your Atlantic sailing experience when spring comes to Uruguay.

    Well done sir!

    Howdy,

Daniel's video is very nicely put together.

I did notice something in the list on the right of the youtube page!

Sorry to these quotes in Spanish... Is just to make contact with a compatriot, who wants to build a GIS boat too. Cheers.

    Daniel
