It's windy enough to warrant getting three reefing points in the sail. :) Otherwise things might get a little wet.
Anyway, some progress has been made this week.

The standard mast step and partner have been installed. I've also made up the second mast step and partner ready for installation.

I've also ordered the undercoat and paint (aquacote) today from Boatcraft, she'll be painted a light sandy colour on the outside with the interior finished bright. I went with these paints instead of the normal 2pack paints as I'll be painting in an attached garage.

G'day again.
Not as busy this weekend as I'd have liked but some progress made nonetheless. I've fitted the second bhd 3 (4cm overwidth) and cut out the centrecase.

I've varnished (over epoxy) the inside the of the tiller ready for gluing next weekend.
The fwd and aft mast boxes are mid way through installation and as the drainage arrangements.

Holy crap! What a great blunder-save combo! Going 3D with the center bulkhead in the wrong position is no minor Ooops, but you've recovered with grace and aplomb. Glad to see the hull moving forward. If your Goat's genetic mutation results in a faster more stable boat... We'll all sail straight at you with stems sharpened!

That being said any advantage/disadvantage of the mutation is going to be completely outweighed by my inexperience sailing. I've logged plenty of time at sea but very little of it under sail.

Despite shooting off to the local water park with the kids today I managed to get a bit more done.

So the recovery from my blockheaded bulkhead mistake is progressing nicely. Time to flip it tomorrow and reinstall the centrecase.

Significant progress since last update, despite it being a normal working week. I've re-installed the centrecase, tided up the patch, installed the fwd mast box, commenced limber tunnels (through the enclosed middle thwart), commenced the aft mast box and drain, and put in all the seat cleats. No rest for the wicked, the next step is to put in the support struts and seat tops, fitting the spacers, and cleaning up in order to epoxy the interior. In the mean time here's some more photos.

Seriously though, I'm going to have to round it off in order to wrap the glass around it. I'm thinking about mounting it below the level of the fwd deck, any suggestions or pointers on this?

Busy day today. I've installed the support struts for the fwd and aft tanks, sealed them up with epoxy, as well as measuring and installing all the tank tops. I used the wet on wet one hit gluing method on these and it worked a treat (and checked everything was square and true repeatedly). http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/02/02/depapega.jpg I've borrowed Callsign 222's forest of bricks idea and updated it to include every heavy thing within easy reach (those white drums are full of malted barley, and yes that is a drill press on the aft tank).

Well I'm at work at the moment and my suburbs just been ordered to evacuate due to an approaching bushfire. Family is safe but I'm unable to evacuate the goat. I have a feeling epoxy is not very fire resistant:p.
Well if it all goes pear shape I'm insured and I'll be able to put bulkhead three in the correct position next time.
Damn I was going to trim the seat tops tonight.

The bow eye: I am quite sure you want to mount it over the forward deck. No good to have holes in the water tight compartment, and you will at some point want to be able to reach the fasteners.
The Bush fire: Let's hope it leaves your house alone. Insured or not.

Thanks the family and I have relocated to my parents place about 20km South of the fire. The fire itself is about 600m East of my house moving West, but that is what it is no point worrying. :)
I'll put the boweye above the foredeck, but unfortunately I'll have to put the lower rudder mount below the aft deck.
