Default I'm teaching at the Duckflat Autumn School

10 boats 12 students - all off to a flying start.

Most are from interstate. Varying levels of skill. Most haven't built a boat before.

I will post more info here a bit later. Most boats are Oughtred - one Storer Eureka, a Lillistone Pheonix III and a beautiful Liz Rowing scull.

The last is like a bit of jewellery.

It is well worth seeing - goes until Thursday or Friday next week - visits welcome 9 to 4 (so we have time to tidy up before and after.

    Boatbuilder heaven.

    Anyway more later.

I'll add a lot more each day and will gradually add some comments.

David Wilson did a neat little workshop demo of using heavy biaxial glass - but I missed the pics (

Boats being built at the .

    The Oughtred's Guillemot

    Shearwater

    Gannet

    Acorn 15 Rowboat - stretched to 17ft

Fulmar - bulkheads, strongback etc are being made up and taken back to Perth as a flat-pack on a trailer

    A Lillistone Phoenix 3

    Storer Eureka Canoe

An old putt putt is being restored

A Bassett Liz a fine rowboat is being built

Some bits for a Hartley 21
The owner is using a foiled centreboard and rudder for the performance advantage they offer. Also making the centrecase so he has the techniques necessary for building the boat.
