First time to use my pdracer. I am rowing with simple plastic oars. The stability are very good en she rowing beautiful.

Well, it shows how the boat is light and two people can easily move it and how slippery she is in the water too! Nice looking boat, looks great!

But please please please please either make or get longer oars. Holy Cow I'm trying not to die laughing right now.

Ok, I read the comment on your youtube page and you say you're going to build longer oars... PHEW!

yes I know the oars are very very short, it rowing not pretty.
I would like to launch the boat for the winter and the plastic oars are the first thing available.

Its not a good idea to die with laughter at a simple short oar

I use the rowing setup MIK's drawing, see https://www.woodworkforums.com/f169/r...5/#post1172443
The distance of 300 mm works good.

The boat looks really nice Cees - how long is it now since you started - must be about 4 months? Good going.

The oars need to be about 8ft or a bit shorter (though I think you know that already)

    Congratulations!!!

Very nice looking boat, beautiful scenery too. Looks like a great place to sail and if you're like me you'll enjoy sailing much more than rowing.

Did you see the shots of the rivers that John rowed his lime green GIS down? That looked interesting too!

But I agree the sailing will be good!

Thank, yes I am very proud of my work.
Its a lot different as conventional woodworking. The epoxy stuff make it much more time and a bit difficult then the traditional PVAC glue. The work with epoxy is a big challenge and a increasing my woodworking knowledge.
The end of April (this year) I startet with building. Now 5 months later the hull ready without painting. The most of time I work in the weekend. In the summer I worked 3 x 6 days behind each. I think about 200 hours to worked for now (and 11 x 750 ml epoxy....)
The spring next year I will continue to build.

Thanks, the place is beautiful, before this (80 years ago) it was a inland sea. Sailing next year.
