How old is MIK?
That's the question...
here's some evidence that MIK may be somewhat older than we think.
I found this picture (pictures are proof, eh?) of one of MIK's first builds - of course we can tell it's a Storer designed boat because it has MIK's now famous rudder design.
It's a 1970's vintage trimaran named Water Spider.
So, now we know that he started life as a big boat designer and worked his way down in size (don't we all?).
Kidding aside, She's a schooner rigged trimaran approximately 36' loa. Shows us how versatile this rudder design can be.
I like the idea of the end-plate on the blade, especially for larger boats. This boat lived in the very shoal waters of the Florida Keys (USA).
Cheers,
TomH

Yup, he lies about his age. Otherwise why wouldn't he be sailing every week?

Well, let's gather evidence. How old are you when you graduate from High School in Australia?

I'm not going to make it easy for you!
If someone works out the year without repeated guessing ... I'll give them an OzRacer RV Plan.
In other words ... you have to provide evidence for your argument ... just saying the year is not good enough!
Old friends and relatives need not apply!

I'll make it harder next time.
Michael Marusek sent me a link to my profile page on this forum. Why didn't I think of that.
Next time it will be non personal and harder.

Okay MIK, let me have a try on this one:
I don't think that you are a liar (that statement and token of trust should already win me the OZRacer RV plan in itself!).
According to your information you are currently 53 years old.
I bit of googling:
Happy Birthday Boatmik
David G claims that you became 52 years of age on 24 January 2011. With the time difference in the States, I think this day should be corrected to 25 January 2011. This would confirm that you are truly 53 now, born 25 January 1959.
Also a bit more evidence here:

Ah, more people using google I guess!
Okay, let us wait for the next competition.

Sorry guys, that sort of "proof" just doesn't cut the mustard coz it's all based on what Mr Storer puts in his own profile. You'll have to dig up something more substantial I'm afraid.

I accepted the evidence that Michael found. Joost came in second but got the info a little wrong. 24th January is correct.
Well done all!
