Good luck with the build Tahi, I also really like Venezia, she would be lovely to use on the French canal and river systems. A solar powered version would be terrific, although I guess much more expensive than a 15hp outboard.
I reckon if you think you can do it in 2 years, say 3 then if you do manage two years that will be a nice surprise.
What sort of all up cost do you think she will be built for? Three times ply costs? Will need a huge amount of epoxy to coat all that ply. RAID41's epoxy costs came to not much less than the ply costs, and with varnish costs added, just a bit more.

Thanks for that Tahi.
The plans are not as detailed as my smaller boat plans, but they are OK I think. The small boat plans really tell you how to do everything, but the bigger boats ask you to work out quite a few details for yourself.
Any feedback to improve them would be good.
Remember you can ask questions here (I was a bit slow answering this one! But I do have a daily priority for answering questions on the forum.
Best wishes
Michael.

Tahi,
I've been curious, too, about Venezia. Please DO keep us posted on the adventure of building her.
Thanks,

Tahi,
I'm living near the biggest Polish river Vistula /Wisla - in Polish/ (which is mostly wild river - last between large rivers in whole Europe) - I'm very interesting in your project of building Venice than she is suitable (and Michael's TC35 Riverboat as well) for Vistula river too.
