Default Slovenian PDR sailing in Croatian Adriatic

    Greetings all

This years holiday - compared to last year's was soooo much better in term of sailing conditions.

There was better and constant wind and easier access to the water.
As in our neighbourhood there os virtualy no sand beach I was so glad that I installed skids on my PDR.

Anyway, this time I was more confident to take my kids and my two nephews as well to sail in the bay.

Here am I with my kids preparing to launch:

Sometimes the wind was so strong (force 4-5 I think) I wasn't able to set my sail alone, because it would turn the boat left or right)

Easy cruising - the kids were excited (so was dad) this outing was done in calm winds:

    A happy return:

My wife had another toddler to look after so we could't make a lot of good sailing photos.

I have none from when I went out (alone) in stronger wind.
I think the wind was about 4 (beaufort scale) and after one hour and a half sailing in big waves and against th estromg currebt I realized I need to be more fit in my arms

But it was much fun and I learned a lot.

The most diffilut manouvre I was trying to learn was how to gybe.

I found my PDR boom quite heavy so when it swings almost 180deg is has a big knock over force especially if one is not quick enough onto the other side of the boat

Great, great boat and great attraction on the beach too.
There was one turist there from Finland who said he knows these boats and that they have them at home too.

Excelent time sailing the PDR - great and fun boat to have!!
    Greetings,
    Peter

    Howdy Koala,

Nice to hear from you and see that family life goes on nicely.

I think there is only one PDR in Finland so the tourist must know our friend Perttu also on this forum!
