    Default Dead Mouse

A young Digger in his new uniform walks into a seedy pub in Townsville. He sits at the bar and notices a grizzled old soldier with his arms folded, staring blankly at a full bowl of chili con carne.
After fifteen minutes of just sitting there staring at it, the young Digger bravely asks the old soldier 'If you aren't gonna eat that, mind if I do?'
The old veteran slowly turns his head toward the young pup and says, 'Nah, you go ahead.'
Eagerly, the young digger reaches over and slides the bowl into his place and starts spooning it in with delight. He gets nearly down to the bottom of the bowl and notices a dead mouse in the chilli. The sight was very shocking and he immediately barfed up the chili back into the bowl.
The old soldier quietly says, 'Yep, that's as far as I got, too.'

Some of the army meals I've had would taste better coming up than going down.

Is that a bit like, "Who called the Cook a Ba****d, Who called the Ba****d a Cook"
Sounds like typical Military, you had a job as a truck driver and they make you a cook, had a job as a cook, and they make you do something else!!!!!
I knew one bloke where I used to work, who was an Army trained Mechanic, I wouldn't let him change my spark plugs.
They had a Range Rover come in with clutch problems, out came the gearbox, three times, new clutch kits each time, still the same problem, gearbox overhauled twice, still the same problem.
The owner of the vehicle took it for some exhaust work, and they asked if he was having clutch problems, he replied, "Yes", and they told him that the problem was the slave cylinder was upside down, air was being trapped in there. When the mechanic was approached he was told "That's the way it was when it came in, and I thought it was supposed to be like that!!!!!!"
