    Default Glass eye

Here is a glass eye joke but you will probably
    see through it anyway.

An attractive girl was in a restaurant enjoying her
meal when her glass eye accidentally popped out.

A single bloke at the adjoining table lunged forward
caught it, and promptly returned it to her.

She was most appreciative and she invited him to
join her for the evening. Well they had a wow of a
time particularly after returning to her place for
    coffee and other interesting events.

He asked her, "You have been fantastic, are you
this friendly with every man you meet?"

She replied, "No, not everyone. Its just that you
were the one who caught my eye tonight".

    Allan

    Hi Grunt,

Just remember, it is the country air that is doing
it to me and lets face it - Romsey and Wallan
are neighbouring towns. You might be next!

    I didn't.

My brother has a glass eye, lost it in an accident and has to go through life with this disability.

I don't think it is funny making jokes about peoples disabilities.

Sorry if my saying I liked the joke offended you Peter. I liked the joke as a joke and not as a joke making fun of someone and I am sure Allan wouldn't mean to offend anyone either.
I understand where you are coming from but I think sometimes we need to have the ability to laugh at ourselves and also take the joke in the spirit it is given.
I have made several references to a certain race or creed of people in this section of the forums in the past and would hate to think that any of those people would think I was serious when reading the joke. It is certainly not my intention to offend anyone.
I guess if you take any joke and analyse it, you will find that it usually takes a serious situation and makes into something funny by changing the a serious situation into something ludicrous that makes us laugh and if we took that ludicrous situation seriously, then it would certainly not be funny in reality.
    Reality is no background music.

    Peter.

    Hi Peter,

Obviously I have offended you and for that I apologize. You can
be assured I would never intentionally make fun of a person
with a disability. Unfortunately humour sometimes has a
way of disappointing someone because of their close
    association with the topic.

    Kind regards,

    Allan
