    Default Indian indeces

There were three Indian squaws. One slept on a deer skin, one slept on an elk skin, and the third slept on a hippopotamus skin. All three became pregnant. The first two each had a baby boy. The one who slept on the hippopotamus skin had twin boys. This just goes to prove that the squaw of the hippopotamus is equal to the sons of the squaws of the other two hides.

I think it is just as well Pythagoras is no longer with us. Would he have seen the funny side of it and which of the three would that have been ?

Good question - I hadn't thought of that angle.

I think that might have been right with the skins over a certain size. Even the indigenous americans were entering a period of bureaucracy where red tape prevailed over reason. To get permission to tan a hide of hippo proportions the paperwork had to be sined and cosined.

(Where'd you hide that groan emoticon Bob?)

That is either an obtuse, or an acute way of looking at it.

No.!. No.!. No.!. What have I done? I've created a monster.

Anybody else wanting to post a pun worthy of Bob's emoticon may do so after forwarding a suitable bribe to me. A try square, engineer's square, combination square or similar, but preferably all of a superior quality like Colen Clenton's tools or our own Ian Wilkie .

If he means that then, three squaws in a triangle makes a geometrical oddity.
