    Default iPhone 5

    With the release of iPhone 5 my wife decided to
    nickname me "iPhone 1" because:

    * I am fatter in the body.
    * I am very slow.
    * My face lacks the right colour.
    * My memory is totally inadequate.

    Wives know how to hurt, don't they.

    Well lets not talk about iPhone 1. It was too long agon (hmm like a few years). Lets talk about iPhone 4. As of today iPhone 4 is too thick, too heavy and too slow. I will give you an review on iPhone 5 same time next year.

    I few sorry for our struggling good hard working citizens. It is already hard enough coping the carbon tax and high electricity costs, now they will have to budget for a new phone.

    Oooh, nasty. But then again, you could name her 'The iPod', arrived before the iPhone and in terms of relevance and function (compared to the iPhone 1), is totally pre-historic and useless

    At work we had an older staff member who we used to call 286 because for years after everyone else he used a 286 and command line DOS and email and even 5 1/4" discs. When he retired one of the presents we gave him was a lava lamp with a 286 chip on the front - he genuinely seemed to like it.

    Young whippersnapper. I was recently asked to write about how we used to do one of our work jobs 'back in the old days'. Took me back to punching cards on a Hollerith punch (no electric card punch) and taking them to the state treasury where all the computing for state government departments was done, and picking the output up a couple of days later.
    Mind you, part of the work involved towing instruments in the ship's tank at Sydney Uni. I managed to dig out some even older photos where the trolley was being pushed at a 'constant velocity' by an athletic assistant, and instead of electronic recording, a passenger on the trolley slapped a paintbrush on a survey tape.
