Thread: Job seeker

Ray was at his local Employment office and
was explaining how he failed to get a recent
job as a butler.

He said, "When I got to the mansion, the lady of
the house looked me over very critically and said
that I had a nice appearance. However, she
believed in the old-fashioned styles where a butler
wore knee britches. She asked me to pull up my
trouser legs so I complied with her request.

She then told me I had nicely shaped legs and
could I show her my credentials.

If I had known what the word meant I may have
obtained the job instead of being ordered out".
