Irish justice
Back in the days of capital punishment, a Dublin woman is brought to trial for murdering her husband. The evidence is overwhelming and she pleads guilty.
The judge puts on the black cap and is just about to pronounce sentence then pauses, removes the cap and tells her he's decided to exercise leniency in view of the fact that she's recently been widowed...
