In the US, the state of New Jersey has rather extensively poluted areas. These are mainly from chemical manufacturing plants and oil refining operations. With this background information...
Recent analysis has shown that New York and California have the most lawyers (barristers / solicitors?) and New Jersey is the most poluted. But this is only because New Jersey had their choice.
