Malaysian Toilets
Just returned from a trip to Malaysia.
On a bus trip down to Singapore we stopped at a rest station and I had to use the toilet.
Now some Malaysian toilets are a squat type, which with my old knees are a bit uncomfortable, so i went looking for a European type pan.
The only one I could find was for ' kanak-kanak' or children. At least it had something at a height I could possibly sit on.
Then I had to look for toilet paper, which I found and was just about to step into the kanak kanak, when the attendent stopped me and motioned me to follow him.
He lead me round the corner to the disabled toilet.
Now, sure it had a full sized toilet, but I can't help thinking that he went home that night a told his family how he conned a Matsali (white ghost), to use a disabled toilet.
(If he was Aussie, it would be odds on, to be a set up). I prefer to think he was looking after my comfort.
