That's not so funny. A bloke I know had an unhappy divorce and his ex sold everything for peanuts before he knew about it.

I picked up a Wadkin tablesaw in Tamworth after the owner disappeared to the US with a country singer.
The wife advertised it in the local paper, we were up at a friends and the months old paper was in the outside loo as reading material.
Fitted in the van upside down and our clothes went inside it ok.

15 years a women living close to us, decided she wanted a fresh start and moved out with a toyboy.
    Hubby has not complained.
She demanded 50% of sale of house, so its been on market last 10 years 2.5 times what its worth.

Hubby, I am happy have a house I enjoy living in and will never sell at the price I am asking.
I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

Re Tonyz comment, another from the states, in a similar vain.
The wife had left the husband and want the house sold and half the money,
he spoke to a lawyer if it was legal to do, to which the reply was yes.
So he sold the house to a friend for $1500, sent the wife $750,
and bought the house back from his friend for the $1500 plus fees.
Another one I heard of, a young bloke in the states, pick up a late model "Truck" for $150.00
When he got it home his parents asked him where he got it from, and he told them.
They didn't believe it, so they went to the house and asked the lady about it.
The husband had run off with the secretary to Hawaii,
and said to the wife to sell the truck and send him the money, so she did.
How true these are I don't know, but makes good stories around the campfire with a port or 3.

    Works both ways.

A few years back, a well known mechanic in town here put his pristine very well maintained 4WD for sale for a ridiculously low price. I bought it.
He was going through a messy divorce and apparently, she wanted the car because it was a V8 automatic and she loved driving it.
I enjoyed quite a few years trouble free motoring out of that thing before trading it on a newer model of the same.

The bloke I bought the car from definitely traded in his woman on a newer model. I met her some time later when they arranged for their neighbour to purchase a Ford F100 that I had at the time and was no longer using.

The car I bought from him - I have since replaced twice now with later models of the same, and still have the last one. I won't be replacing it with the latest model of the same - don't like the new one.
