Thread: Muffins

Because the oven was overshooting the set temperature, SWMBO shaved a few
minutes off the cooking time for her muffins, set the timer and asked
me to keep an eye on them while I did the dishes and she dusted.

Not long after, she smelled something burning and dashed into the kitchen.

"Are those my muffins burning?" she asked Andy.

"Yes," I said as he calmly wiped a dinner plate.

"Then why are they still in the oven?" she cried.

"Because," I replied, "the timer hasn't gone off yet."


I spent three days in hospital with blunt trauma to the head,
