    Default Stolen car

Several days ago as I went to leave our woodturning club I searched
my pockets for my keys. Suddenly I realized I must have left them in
my car. Frantically I headed for the car park.

My wife has often tackled me for leaving the keys in the ignition as it
would be easy for a thief to take the car. I quickly came to the conclusion
that her theory may be right ... my vehicle was not there.

I immediately rang the police, gave them my location, confessed to having
left the keys in the car and that it had been stolen.

Then I made the most difficult call of all ... "Darling", I said, I always
call her "darling" in times like this, "I left my keys in the car and it has
been stolen". The silence was deafening for what seemed like an hour.

She then barked at me, "Allan, are you stupid, I dropped you off there
this morning" Well you could have knocked me over with a feather.

So in a meek little voice I politely asked, "Can you come and get me?"

She replied, "I will, just as soon as I can convince the three coppers
that have me bailed up that I have not stolen your car".

    Allan

My wife is always carrying on to me about leaving the keys in the car and warning me that thieves are just waiting for a chance like that. Honestly, I ask you, why would any thief worth his salt want to steal a set of car keys.?
    Reality is no background music.
    Cheers John
