Date set 4/5th July 2009
Ivan has put up his hand again to host the 10th BBQ at his factory.
The date is the 4th and 5th (2 day event) of July, so bring you fire crackers and sleeping bags (if you like).
The suggestion for food has 2 options and if people could please indicate their preference.
1. Bring your own, that includes absolutely everything from drink to bread, milk and coffee.
2. Put in $5 and we can buy stacks of snags, etc and bread, etc.

Venue Details
Hi Guys,
Sorry for the lack of Venue details on the 2nd post. Here is the location for those of you interested in coming along.
View Map : Sorry can only get the link to display in the post, not the online map.
Ivan has advised me that if you bring a machine or electrical item, please bring:
1. Extension Lead
2. Power board
For those who wish to bring a bigger machine or wish to save their backs in the transport process, if you load your machine on to a pallet, Ivan can unload it with his forklift.
Greg, great idea to try and set an agenda or presentation schedule.
If people would like to speak or demonstrate something, please include details in your response for attendance. I will try to post the schedule here as we gather details.
PS: To those who are planning to fly here or spend money getting there, we make no guarantees about how the day turns out. Usually the days are fantastic, but the variables depend on who comes, and what people bring.
Thanks
Michael

I envy you guys on the east coast. I'd love to attend something like that, but it's just too costly from Perth. Those door prizes would be handy too.
I hope it will be possible to record some of the proceedings and demonstrations so that those who can't attend can perhaps gain something out of it.
Hope you get a great turnout on the day.
Cheers

No problem Geoff,
I think we could make a compilation of the 2 days and post it on youtube for people to watch.
Should help those who can't make it see how the day went.
I am trying to make this a ripper BBQ. We have a great venue which houses so many people. I think Ivan will have this rented out soon, so I figured lets have one really great BBQ as who knows when we can do something like this again.
I have to say there is a lot of work going into this from a few guys. I hope we can put on a great couple of days for everyone. Plus we hope people get inspired to build their own CNC units.
(Q Does anyone know if you can go back and edit posts that were posted days ago. I want to combine the prizes, but can't work out how)

I will attend. I don't know if I can be there for both days, but I'll try.

*** New Prize ***
There has been a very generous private donation from a keen member of this forum.
The G250 have no direct connector, so i think I will pre-wire something for the recipient to use.

The person who donated this has requested that they remain anonymous.
On behalf of all the guys who build or wish to build CNC machines, such generosity is graciously welcomed and without support from organisations and private members of this group, many would never have the opportunity to participate in such a rewarding venture.

Great Chris, hope to see you there.
Steve, sorry have been really busy. i will try to look for some local establishments. there is a train station about 3 minutes up the road so any hotel next to the train line will get you to the venue.
St Albans is out of town so I will see what is available.

New Venue Details
Hi Everyone,
*******IMPORTANT UPDATE***************
Unfortunately Ivan has withdrawn his venue for the next BBQ and so I have had to make 2 changes.
1. New Venue: 6A Rangeview Road Donvale 3111 (Benny has graciously offered to host the BBQ and this is confirmed as a firm venue. Thank you very much Benny)
2. Saturday: Due to the change of venue the decision has been made to only have the BBQ on Saturday the 4th of July. (9.00am - 5.30pm)
I hope this does not inconvenience people, but this was the best solution given the untimely withdrawal of the previous venue.
