    Default 14mm LINEAR BALL BEARING

    Hi,
Thanks to rods and gregs posts leading me astray I have a new spindle coming from Chai , pulleys and belt for a 4th axis not to mention the pokeys for a consul so i have decided to upgrade my Z Axis.
I have some 14mm chrome rod but after much searching i can't find any 14mm bearings in a block form, i did find these
Linear BALL Bearing SKF LBBR 14mm Ball Bushing - eBay (item 350274845250 end time Feb-02-10 12:17:09 PST)
    can they be adapted?
If i cant get any i may try making my own out of Delrin and if that dosnt work i will have to bite the bullet and by a 16mm kit.
    Any one got any ideas?
    Cheers
    Denis

    Hi Denis
It must be Greg's fault because I would never lead you astray.

That seller only has two bearings so it still leaves you short of two. Pricing those out then considering all the work and cost in mounting them I would be thinking a 16mm fully suppoted rail and bearings would be attractive. Not that I would lead you astray.
14mm is an odd size for standard linear rails.
    Cheers,
    Rod
