What did you draw the files in? Are you able to convert them from dxf into something else?
Cut 3d seems prefer the stl or parasolid files
If you can't, happy to give it a shot for you if you like (currently running solidworks)

yer tried DXF and STL , just locks up ( program header " not responding")
drew my violin on TurboCAD16 , and mate's were from AutoCAD
some images of what im trying to 3D cut , shouldn't be that hard , it might be file size ?
the last thing i did was create a solid block , then take away from that solid the negative i drew , the drawings are clean ??/ will try windows XP

Great glad you got it to work! seems strange that you had to revert to XP!
Look forward to seeing some pics of the finished product!
Cheers

It sounds like you don't really understand what types of files these programs are looking for. Althouth any .stl file should work in all of them, .dxf files can be tricky, as they can contain many diferent types of entiites, and not all may be supported.
I use MeshCAM with AutoCAD, and it works perfectly fine. If you want to use .dxf files with MeshCAM, though, you need to know what you're doing, as it will only read 3D face entities in the dxf file.
.stl files from AutoCAD will load into MeshCAm with no problems.Gerry

If it's a solid, you use the STLOUT command.
